A 40m+ Private M/Y currently located in the Whitsundays is seeking a Deck hand to join their team. Start Date: Mid DecemberItinerary: Whitsundays & North Queensland (The vessel is based in the Whitsundays year round)Salary: DOE - discussed upon interview with the Owner Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week + overnight trips where required This is not a liveaboard position, so ideally the candidate will have their own accommodation in the Whitsundays, or be willing to relocate at their own expense. Requirements:- Must have Australian working rights!- Hard-working, capable, team-player to assist in maintaining a positive team environment- Enthusiastic, respectful, honest and reliable- Eager, ambitious, easy to get along with, must take direction well while being able to work autonomously - Focused, and with meticulous attention to detail and initiative- Strong references to back previous experience- Well presented, clean shaven, great work ethic and good attitude!- All certificates MUST be valid and in hand- Longevity is important!- Trades background advantageous - Strong tenders driving skills - Fishing Skills and local area knowledge advantageous!- Must be willing to get involved and assist in all areas, including cooking the BBQ 😉 The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the upkeep, maintenance and cleaning of a 40m sunseeker, 60ft predator and 2 x 30ft+ Boston Whalers. Strong tenders driving skills advantageous!
